2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 MustangMarkF (121) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 16, 2012
500ml Bottle. Aroma is very faint and Im getting malted milk biscuits - or shreddies. Appearance is a red tinted gold with a weak head that disappears almost as fast as it appears. The taste is heavily influenced by the smell: it is almost pure biscuit that disipates into a slightly molassis bitterness. The bottle says citrus finish - the only way this beer will ever have a citrus finish would be if a lemon crossed the line holding it during the fruitilympics!

[500ml bottle from Maureen & Dave - cheers!] Dirty dark gold with a large foaming white head and slight to moderate carbonation. Decent rich mouthfeel. Peaches up front, straw throughout, and some lemon in the finish. On the dry side, but little bitterness. A decent bitter that exceeded my expectations.

Bottled. Golden as expected with a whitish head. A bit of straw and cardboard amongst the orangey hops in the nose. Decent citrus amd grassy in the mouth amongst a bit of rubber. Would be far better filtered than pasteurised as this no doubt started off a fairly decent beer.
