Mes_and_Sim (4320), Highgate, Greater London, England May 10, 2008 A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival. A fiarly light shade of brown for a mild with a thin white head. Good chocolate malty notes, bitter and roasty with slight notes of caramel. A little dull but nice enough.

Roasted nose with notes of freshly ground coffee, chocolate and dried fruit. Roasted taste with dark fruit, coffee and prunes. Moderate bitterness. Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate yeasty, drain. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (030508) TheGrandMaster (1446), Auckland, New Zealand Mar 31, 2007 Gravity fed half pint at the London Drinker Beer Festival, dark brown, ruby tinted, with a large bubbly tan head. A strong roasted malt aroma. A light and smooth palate with a touch of sweetness and a gravelly finish. Found the flavour a little on the bland side though. motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Feb 13, 2007 cask at the wenlock arms. close to black with a light head. aroma of licorice, prunes and molasses. pretty tasty - stewed fruits, cocoa powder, roasted bitterness. quite a good drop
