Tap at ABC - listed at 4.3 abv - clear amber pour - fairly rich nose of hazelnut, chocolate, leaf tobacco bitterness, vanilla, cinnamon, toffee - flavor is fairly dry, with notes of hazelnut, mild toffee sweetness, earthy/leafy notes - finishes with light bitterness and a moderate, lingering nuttiness - quite a flavorful session brew.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish brown pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of cocoa powder, hints of nuts, caramel, some biscuit and yeast notes, touch of acidic malts with a hint of berry. Taste is slight chocolate, caramel, and toffee, some toasted bread, nuts in there, hint of sweet fruit, earth tones as well finishing fairly sweet.

Clear nutty amber with a thin laceful head. Nutty and biscuity aroma with a touch of chocolate. Pretty light palate with notes of nutty chocolate and pale biscuit malts. Meh.

On tap at Arvada Beer. Very nutty aroma, a bit of a banana hint to it. Maybe a bit of cross contamination with the Weizen? The mouth is very smooth, nutty, with a bit of sweetness at the end. Not too bad at all.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2012 Tap @ brewery. Slightly hazy, light copper appearance with an off white head. Toasty caramel malty, fairly nutty (hazelnut), big malty aroma. Big toasty caramel malty, rich toffee, hazelnutty, mild chocolate flavor. Good carbonation. This is a great session ale!

On tap at Arvada Beer poured a clear reddish am,ber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of nuts, cocoa and carmel. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of nuts, cocoa and carmel with a crisp lingering nutty finish.
