Louis Ralston made the first gold discovery in Colorado in 1850. His discovery was in what is now known as Arvada,CO. Ralstonís Golden Ale is a crisp, clean, refreshing beer, nicely balanced with the light hop nose characteristic of noble hops. This ale is fairly dry, light bodied, and it has a rich golden color. This is the beer you want to drink after a long hard day of work.

Carbon tap at brewery. Sweet, I will buy in a pick 6 at the store and again at the brewery. Every sip will keep you interested, a solid all around beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at ABC. Gold and pretty clear with light lacing and a white head. Pretty bland, light malty aroma with notes of corn, light hops, leaves and grass. Similar flavor, mild sweetness and light bitterness over a light body. Slightly better than most domestics.

Tap. Pours clear gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is cereal and grain malt, spicy and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and medium bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Pour on tap at the brewery, golden pour, imagine that, with thin white head, aroma brought grainy biscuit, cracker malts, hints of slight grass with some cereal and straw like aromas, touch of spice. Taste is pretty straightforward, some slight spice and grass, biscuit and grainy notes, finishing fairly clean.

Listed as "Golden Ale"..Clear pale golden with a nose of stale hops and grainy pale malt. Taste was pale and light with dominating notes of pale golden cereal grains. Finished kinda yeasty and lightly hoppy. Meh.

On tap at Arvada Beer. Light. Little to no aroma. At least it doesnít have corn flavor. Very plain. A hint of piney hoppiness on the back end. Ahhh, it wouldnít be a bad option for the usual BMC drinker.

Tap at ABC - listed as "golden ale" - clear gold pour - moderate lace - very mellow beer - crisp and light, with a lean malt base with low sweetness and a moderate grassy hop flavor - crisp and a little bit crackery - very clean, with no really apparent flaws - would be a great lawnmower beer - I like it.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2012 Tap @ brewery. This was actually meant to be a golden lager but they didnít have time to lager, so they ended up just being it with an ale yeast. This could be reclassified as a golden ale. Slightly hazy, golden appearance with a white head. Very light aroma with little going on besides some light pale malts and a touch grassy hops. Crisp, somewhat grainy, straw, pale malty, light flavor.

On tap at Arvada Beer poured a clear yellow with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of bread and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, bread and light citrus with a crisp dry finish.
