1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Ungstrup (23917) - Oamaru, - JUN 28, 2006
A very light yellow beer with a slight haze under a white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw. The flavor is very dry from notes of straw and a weird hop sort, the dryness continues to the end, which is quite bitter. I don’t like the hops in this one.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Papsoe (22946) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 26, 2006
(Bottle 33 cl) Pale pilsener golden with a small, creamy, white head. Slightly perfumy but fresh nose. Light-bodied but not really watery. Fairly good malt base with lovely, floral hops that don’t add much bitterness. A very decent light pilsener. 250606
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - DEC 1, 2005
Hazy blond color. Aroma of malt, cereals, hay. Light structure, some raw cereals, maybe too aggressive bitterness.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 larsam (127) - Southampton, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2005
Hazy pale yellow with white head. Clear malty aroma. Considering its low ABV (2.8%) the flavour is suprisingly malty with matching bitterness. The body is, less suprisingly, light.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 24, 2005
Bottled. Hazy golden, average head. Grassy aroma. Dry, crisp and light bodied - but despite it’s low gravity nowhere near being thin. Vague notes of smoke, medium bitterness. It’s a mystery how they can pack all this character into a 2.8% lager...
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bov (7316) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - AUG 22, 2005
a slightly hazy blond colour and a fine firm white head and a nice lacing; the nose shows a good presence of herbal hoppiness with a touch of butter in the background;very creamy mouthfeel and meidum-bodied, a decent bitterness followed by a long herbal and peanuty aftertaste - an impressive character for a beer with only 2,8%; the big swiss brewers should learn from this small microbrewery !
