Near black, fine beige head. Roasty nose, a little red fruit and some toasted malt, verging on a Stout, but more watery. Very nice dunkel.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear dark brown with a big brown head that dissipates quickly into nothing. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and some toast. Taste is roasted malts, cocoa and then goes to a super dry finish. Crisp and clean on the finish but feels a bit too light. Easy to drink though.

Mild cocoa aroma. Moka coffee, nut, roasted grain, smoky finish. Surprisingly fine for an Asahi, good attempt at a dunkel, not so sweet and with some decent flavors

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nose: I can barely bring myself to say it, but it smells of soy. Hack, but true. Taste is soy, slight toasted malt, a little fruit. The mouth feel is velvet.
A passable beer, but note memorable.
