Light black colored beer. Amber and brown around the edges. Light khaki colored head that is quite resilient. Nose is zero on this beer. Nothing. Smells like...carbonated malt beverage. Nothing subtle nothing. Almost smells like seltzer water. Flavors aren’t much better. Winey malts at first. Dried plums...maybe. Fades into a cardboard like softness and carbonation is rather fare. Mouthfeel is ok. All in all not worth the $2.50 I paid for one.

Aug 4, 2008 Bottled. Ruby colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is metal, roasted malts and some hints of metal. Flavour is roasted malts, some dark riped fruits and some hints of rice. Not very exciting.

Jul 14, 2008 Bottle in London at Japanese restaurant. Dark body, creamy head. Nice roasty and malty taste. Sweet, with caramel. A strange pairing with sushi, I felt.

Aroma: Burnt and roasted malt. Caramel? Metallic?
Taste: Again burnt and roasted malt. Malty aftertaste.

Jun 2, 2008 bottle. poured dark brown with no head. Dark roasty malt aroma and flavor. I like the style, but this is a pretty weak schwarzbeir in my opinion.
