3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 dreamflower (193) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - FEB 24, 2012
Bottle shared with northropfrye. Orangey caramel colour. The head stays nice and frothy. Taste is a little richer and sweeter than regular Asahi and I quite enjoy it.

Bottle sample. Faintly sweet corny aroma. Pale orangey colour. Taste is faintly sweet; I think it’s sweeter than the regular Asahi.

Average, not what I expected. I drank it @home and it didn’t make my night...

Bottle split with Vi, Ken and Daddy Vuong. Pours a clear golden body with carbonated head that dissipates into lacing. Aroma is bland malts. Mouthfeel is thin and crisp with notes of sweet malts, corn pops, hay.

The beer pours an amber color with a white head. The aroma is a mix of grain and toffee with not too much else going on. Fairly bland smelling. The flavor is also bland. Other than a ton of sweet, sugary grain, I get next to nothing. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. The beer is not offensive, but there are really no positives to be found here. Not one to seek out.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 21, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2011 Probably the best of the Asahi line of brews! This brew poured up a dark golden colored body with a frothy head that dissipated quickly down to a thin sheen with good lacing. Aromas are filled with caramel, sweet malts, bread dough, and light hops. Flavors are pretty much the same but very light on the hops and full of that sweet malt flavor. Medium-bodied with a nice, dry finish with a nice warm, sweet aftertaste. Definitely one of the top Asian brews I’ve ever had!

Asahi is a lovely Japanese beer that is great with food or during the day, and great with beach trips during the summer with friends. Its a golden brown and lightly carbonated, very rich in taste without being offensive. All around I think Asahi is great for the price, nice to have in the fridge.

(12oz bottle thanks to Cavie) gold-orange pour with lasting tan creamy head. Nose of light caramel, cereal grain, cream, and fruity pebbles. Taste of cereal grain, salt, medium sweetness and a soft carbonation. Ok for what it is.

Bottle: new beer in the market, nothing great about it. Just another rating.

Estrella Damm tall pint glass. Pretty good pour: 1/2" head sits atop burnt orange-light brown liquid. Aroma is pretty foul lager. Taste is actually quite good: tons of caramel and nutty roasted malt. Maybe a little too sweet, and a bit superficial--not much depth here--but pretty nice and certainly sessionable.
