3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A good good everyday beer if it would range in a more affordable price range. Nonetheless a good Asian lager, refreshing but with bits of refined notes now and there. Sweet and malty, soild amber colour, and a nice aroma for a warm afternoon of winter. Better than its regular asahi sister.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours amber color with small foamy beige head, very faint caramel aroma, high carbonation, very little caramel taste with a metallic tint, medium finish. Not a very inspiring beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear dark amber. Small off white head. Mild sweet malty taste. Mild caramel aroma. Nothing wrong with it, just not really much there.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A Japanese restaurant on St. Mark’s: Pours light copper with a white head. Aroma was basically grainy with a little bit of hops and sugar. Taste is like a slightly more heavy pale lager. I was expecting something more in Vienna land. Anyway, it was fine, but underwhelming.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Asahi Brewmaster’s Select has a thin, off-white head, a clear, somewhat bubbly, amber appearance, and a little bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, bready malt, and the flavor is of sweetness, bread crust, cooked carrots, and a slight bittereness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Asahi Brewmaster’s Select finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and highly chug-able. Overall, this is worth checking out, but it is over-priced ($11.99 for a six-pack). RJT

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours with a copper red tint with a slight hazy hue. Minimal to no head. Palate is nice but the beer does not provide flavorful depth or dimension. Taste is malty with a slight tart honey caramel finish.

Dark golden-amber body, medium to thin white head, spotty lacing. Sweet fruity cereals and grains. Some light caramel. Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation and a mild sweetness in the finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I love amber beers, may it be lagers or ales. Low foam with a medium body, full of roasted malt flavor combining very well its color (brownish red). Its aroma is also roasty with traces of caramel. One of my favorites from Japan.

Virtually no aroma, golden in color with a quickly disappearing head. Slightly sweet flavor with a thin finish.
