Sampled twice today at two different ramen shops in Hong Kong. Nice creamy head and yellow body, okay malt aroma. Very refreshing, and obviously it goes well with Ramen. Malty notes and a semi-crisp finish with some refreshing water notes. Works well with the food, probably would work well as a session beer.

Nothing special here. Sub par compared to the other Japanese beers. Lighter than the others with less of the rice grains included which make it more distictive IMHO.

This is the first Asian beer I have had, and it sort of reminded me of Teriyaki sauce. A sort of sweet taste to it, different kind of beer. Not too bad though, good international flavour.

I’m guessing this is the same Asahi that used to come in the odd-shaped can. If so, this is actually a pretty dry beer, even though it’s not advertised as such.

Color is a clear yellow with a medium foamy head with divets and leaves tiny patches of lace. Smells faintly of sweet malt grain and a hop, just barely. Taste is thinned out malt with a hint of sweetness and a super light hop. Mostly watered down and empty light to medium body with no hold or body. Not so good, not so bad either.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is malty, floral, honey, rice, vanilla, some menthol, and some peppery hops. Flavor is honey, vanilla, floral, a hint of menthol. and a bitter peppery finish.

Absolutely no head with this beer but not a bad looking amber color. Really not too much taste of anything. It was advertised as extra-dry, but I didn’t get that one either

12 oz bottle split with my bro Pwn3d. Pours regular yellow lager body. Aroma and taste are slightly off the typical pale lager, but enjoyable--i would have to say better than miller light.* but not much. *referencing previous comments.
