I was pleasently surprised by this beer. Med amber hue. The nose doesn’t show the complexity of the body, but still moderate amounts of bready motes were present. The body showed more depth with caramel and bread, well balanced, but it still had a touch of mainstreamness to it, likely due to being filtered and Pasteurized. I would order again.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2010 Can. Deep gold color, not really amber, but darker than pale. Rather low head. Bready, rich, malty aroma with a bit of grassy hop. Nicely rich malt flavor, a bit of biscuit and caramel, with nice bitterness at the finish and a light grassy character. Smooth, thick body. Decent enough, really. Would like to put it head to head with some of the Bavarian Oktoberfest beers. The nicely bitter and long finish is a pleasant surprise. Decent specialty beer from a major. Good, rich stuff.
