Bottle. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt and grain. Taste is very dry and a little watery.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Shrews629 (193) - Kentucky, USA - DEC 1, 2010
Very clear, straw color. Thin, white head that was gone almost before I finished pouring. Scant amount of lacing left on the glass. Few bubbles coming up from the bottom. Very light hops in the nose. Getting, what I find to be, a wet corn or wheat smell. Somewhat off putting actually. This beer actually smell kind of stale. The taste reveals the corn with a touch of hop bitterness. Not much. Some astringency is a bit distracting. Got a bit of "the funk" rearing its head in the taste also. Mouthfeel was thin, but surprisingly rather dry. Not much is left on the palate however. It is smooth and could be somewhat refreshing if need be. Doesn’t feel bad by any means. Well... I like to give each beer a fair review and I respect all brewers, but i probably won’t be visiting this beer again. Some may like it and I’m sure it has its place, but it’s just not the beer for me. I’m better off having tried it though.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gary (1013) - London and Rochester, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2010
(500ML Bottles.) Nice hypnotic Japenese writting . I got 12 bottles cheap and maybe I was in trace or maybe this shit was surprisingly flavoursome. Its not pretending to be an elegant north German Pils , its a dry , buttery -somewhat sweet soulless lager intended to be drank fast without much pondering.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 flying_pig (267) - SCOTLAND - NOV 21, 2010
Aroma: malty & grainy
Appearance: yellow with large white head
Taste: malt & grainy again with a dry aftertaste
Palate: dry & the aftertaste leaves bubbles on the tongue that evaporate in your mouth
Overall: A bog standard lager beer, delivers exactly what it says; a dry pale lager.
Serving: Bottle (500ml)
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Vaiz (1847) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 18, 2010
Bottle at a Japanese sushi restaurant. Extremely average lager. Nothing special to remark about it. Just plain simple exactly what the rest of the world would call ’beer’.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 suurjuust (253) - Tartu, ESTONIA - NOV 10, 2010
Pale yellow, small head. Grain and malt aromas, tastes like grain and some hoppy hints. It is dry and fairly pleasant to drink. An OK session beer.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 seritomi (146) - HUNGARY - NOV 8, 2010
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 thirstyrabbit (478) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 2, 2010
44cl bottle. A version brewed by Baltika in Russia. Pale yellow, small head. As a matter of fact, it really is super dry. Also, it is overly carbonated and then there is some sourness in the finish. Must be the rice.
