I lived in Japan and really liked this beer. It was always reliable when you were out and needed a drink. Now it’s nostalgic more than anything else. I like it when having rice based meals. It just works good that way.

Served in a lager glass from a 330ml. bottle. Nothing special but, a good drop for a thirsty drinker. Inoffensive taste of grain, rice etc. Not a "trashy" or fantastic lager but worth drinking while watcing a game on t.v.

Bottle, 330ml/500ml. Light yellow, bready aroma. A bit crisp, slighty watery, quite fresh when cold. Thirst quencher.

Had in a 0.5 L can. Pours a gold colour with a frothy finger sized white head. Smells skunky, cheap and of rice and grass. Taste is of subtle malts, rice and hops. In my opinion, it is just like other Asian Beers- Tiger, Tsingtao, Yinjang, Sapporo, etc. Cheap and plain.

Bottle @ Sushi bar. Straw golden colour, frothy white head. Aroma of grass, malts, hops. Flavour is dry, grainy and hoppy. Bitter finish. Dry mouthfeel. Nice lager.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 futre7 (81) - Taipei, TAIWAN - AUG 11, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 8, 2011 Bought it at 7-11 in Yong-he Taipei. Crisp, easy to drink little bit ricey , its got a slightly malty after taste which doesnt last too long. Super dry has a miscellaneous quality in that it is easy to drink and is addictive in the sense that you can drink a pint of it and never get bored of it’s taste. It goes down so easily and is perfect with food. I really can’t say enough positive things about this lager despite it’s mild taste. After 6 years of living in Asia it has surpassed my love of Euro lagers and is now my fave lager. Good stuff.

500mL can from the LCBO, because I felt like having a generic crappy Asian lager. Pours a nice gold, with a medium white frothy head, and a curious looking single strand of bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass that looks like a tornado. The taste is, super dry! Super clean! Super so-so! Actually it’s decent for what it is, a little dry all the way through but with some alright malty sweetness of no particular distinction. Almost a creamy touch to it in the finish. Mouth-feel is good for a pale lager. Considering the sheer amount of adjuncts used in it it’s actually not undrinkable, but I think I can actually taste the rice, making it seem like some sort of Sake-Lager hybrid. Hits the spot nicely on this gloomiest of days I’ve been having. Also with some weird and unnatural adjuncty fruity elements, most notably banana. "Fresh, crisp and clear - with a sharp delivery that slakes thirst before slipping gently on.", uh, yeah! Whatever that means..........

Pretty decent beer overall, used to have a girlfriend that kept this around the house constantly. Just a bit of a step up from your typical pale lagers. Creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation, smooth and dry in the finish.
