Bottle. Pale straw color with a white head. Faint aroma, a little grainy and some mild hops... very weak. Same can be said for the taste, though there is a decent malty sweet base that stands along a better than average body for the style.

world market tallahassee, bottle, thin and watery, weak gold pour. flavor less except for minor grain and maybe just a touch of malt but kinda hard to find in all the water. i guess it would be good to wash something down if it was spicy. not worth the money.

Pours clear golden with a medium white head. Carbonation is decent. Faint aroma of grain and fruit??. Slight sweetness and a bit of bitterness in the finish. No great guns but altogether a crisp refreshing beverage quite suited for enjoyment with Japanese cuisine. Kampai!

VitaminR (540) - Colorado, USA - JUN 12, 2008
Subtle simple syrup and puffed rice nose. Pale yellow, small head that dissipated quickly. Slightly stale malt sweetness, mild bitterness. Big carbonation, crisp, but nothing remarkable. Not offensive, but not very good.

...bottle. Thin, dry, watery, ricey, flavorless. Good to cleanse away a spicy dish if they don’t have anything else relatively decent. Otherwise, no point to drink this overpriced, tasteless brew.

deathevocation (6) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 1, 2008 does not count
In Australia we get the Thai brewed version which costs more than something brewed in Europe. Work that one out. I’m not a big fan of it. My rating is based on the Japanese brewed version. For some reason, when I’m in Japan, I really enjoy drinking the local macros (Asahi, Kirin and Sapporo). They compliment the food and seem to taste much better over there (probably some sort of placebo effect, who knows). I’m suprised to read that a previous rater has stated that it pours a head which lasts - it certainly doesn’t!
