COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle conditioned; Regular.
A Golden Ale with a wonderful hoppy nose from the Cascade Hops. It’s fresh, crisp, true to style with light carbonation and floral hoppy notes. This is a unique and very quaffable ale indeed. Hops from Oregon USA. This is a unique and very quaff-able Ale indeed.

Great light ale that makes any simpler beer redundant. Beautiful aromas that make this a great choice if you can find it.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2008 The Amercain version of real ale, interesting! I like this beer however, very nice flavour during the entire bottle, it does contain a lot of yeast and that is evident during tasing it. Nice ale this one and recommended.

A really light golden ale with a fantastic looking head. Hoppy, and with the tang of gooseberries in the aroma. The balance in this ale is fantastic; hoppy, sweet, sour, bitter all follow one another in the mouth. A little yeasty which is very nice and well judged. Very smooth with a slight oily slickness. Absolutely delicious.

Cask at Croydon beer Festival 2007. Nose of sulphur and quite pungent hops. Murky honey colour. Taste was citrus lemon, sulphur, hop and tropical fruits. This was really good.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2008 Bottled at RBESG. Clear pale golden, brief head. Dry citric and grassy. Lovely light, grainy, vital, chewy malt character spiced with a good amount of citric and hay-like hops. Pleasant late bitterness. A wonderfully drinkable uncomplicated beer.

Bottle from stock (Quaffs). Fantastic aromas of fresh hops readies the palate for a great citrusy, floral hoppy taste. Easy to drink and leaves you wanting more. Yum

Cask conditioned Handpump Edgar Wallace London A gold coloured beer with a loose white head. The aroma and taste have excellent hoppy notes. There are great grapefruit notes especially in the mouth. Some lemon in the nose too. Really good hop flavours. Another good Ascot beer.

Bottle from Beer Essentials. Slick and silky orange amber. Lip-smacking freshly-squeezed Cascade aroma. Grapefruit and pineapple jelly. No surprises in the mouth- more grapefruit, fibrous pineapple citrus and earthy pineneedle. A squeeze of Twinings Lemon and Ginger. Hints of dankness, Dry Roasted and ash. But forget about that, just close your eyes and INHALE. Brazen, uncomplicated, and sodden with single varietal hop loveliness.

Shared one of these with Mes a couple weeks ago and it was the first Brit beer I could honestly say was 2 young at the time. Second bottle is much different, still young, green so to say, but quite fitting, lol...It’s like coming as close as you can 2 a gator and living 2 tell the tale...I mean, I’ve been out swimming in Galveston bay and felt something brush against my leg and think it’s nothing 2 look up and see a small sharks fin in the next wave but that’s just it, it’s just a young, plain drinkable beer, with floral hops, gooseberry and green apple notes...A beer that ticks all the boxes and I’d drink all the time without any thought...Ascot is one to watch...Could nip your ankle and you wouldn’t realise till later..It’s the kind of beer you’d drink on a daily basis and wonder why you end up passed out on the last train home...more of this please, mmm...
