3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Alphadelic (1470) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 25, 2010
A bright, fruity nose. Lovely, fruity elderflower gives a lightness to this ale in the mouth.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Cask at the Rake, 17th Sept 09. Amber with a line of foam. Divine aroma of floral hops and then a crisp taste of cereals and more hops. A nigh-on perfect sessionable beer. I strongly disagree with Tom’s assertion that one is enough. I had at least three in quick succession. Can’t wait to have this again.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DonMagi (5599) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2009
Cask in the rake. Alround rating: Lots of fruity aromatic hop, but the honey sweet character of the malt needs more bitternes to balance it. A nice enough drink but on of those one’s where one’s enough.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Jukkabro (3471) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 21, 2009
Coppery colored with little yellow head. Nicely hopped aroma with fruits and thin chocolate. Medium bodied. Flavor is similar with dominating hops and lemon, aftertaste dries. Nothing special.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 reakt (946) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2009
Handpull @ The Wenlock. Pale malts with an appley note and slight tropical fruits in the nose. Taste is much the same, earthy yet sweet and malty with some amarillo hop fruity bitterness in the finish. Slightly thin but tasty none the less.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ladnewton (910) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2009
Cask at the Wenlock Arms, 11th July 2009. Amber-coloured ale with small, quickly-diminishing white head. Yeasty nose, then rounded main kick with hoppiness tempered by sweetness on a rather viscous, oily mouthfeel. Hops then take over in a lingering dry, satisfying finish. A pleasant, balanced beer.
