Cask at the market porter. Alround rating: Sweet brown ale malts, old cellar, musty, fruity.

Cask conditioned from the Rose and Crown, Sandhurst. Smooth, low bittered ale with slight floral hop aroma. Nice mouth feel and body, but lacking anything distinctive. Interesting concept from a brewery that is breaking new ground.

Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival, September 2007. Interesting idea. Has the German hops and yeast. Has the bready malt character. Has the touch of sweetness. Presumably not brewed as a lager but, otherwise, has plenty of authentic touches. Quite full mouthfeel. There is perhaps a little more bitterness than the genuine German article. Not at all bad.

Cask@Twickenham Beer Festival. Malts come across slightly sticky and quite bready/doughy. Finish shows some grassyness, with some light toffee-ish notes in the finish. Not too bad, but it lacks something for me.

Cask gravity at St Albans BF 2007. Amber, no head. Bready, biscuity aroma. Well it is a lager, some ok pukey malt settles down to a nutty toffee. Not at all bad.
