Commercial Description:
Our Pride and Joy: This is our flagship “Bitter” that has less emphasis on bitter and more on fresh Oregon USA Cascade hop aroma. We achieve this by adding the hops in three stages by hand. Available in limited quantities as we hold back Posh Pooch and carefully mature it in the casks twice as long as our other ales to ensure the perfect pint. Yes, it takes longer to make and is more work, but pride is what we brew. Posh Pooch is available all year long in very select establishments and direct from the brewery in 5 litre mini casks and bottles.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Criterion Leicester. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma is lovely piney US hops. Quite striking and inviting. Again more hops in the taste. Great bitterness and exceptional drinkability. The real deal.

Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Amber with white head. Hoppy, bittersweet beer, really good for a Sunday lunchtime session. Lemony tangy notes with a slightly fuller malt character. A very decent beer.

Bottle from stock (Quaffs) also sample from minicask (Quaffs). Amber colour with white head. Again you can smell fresh hops and tropical fruits. An excellent, slightly sparkliing bitter with an American twist.

500ml bottle conditioned from Budgens, Ascot. Copper coloured, some carbonation but very little head; rich fruity malt aroma; earthy malt body with good hops coming through. An excellent bitter.

Sampled at the RBESG08 grand tasting. Very much like the Alligator but with some butterscotch notes.
