maeib (3917), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Sep 8, 2007 Cask conditioned - handpump - Criterion Leicester. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma is lovely piney US hops. Quite striking and inviting. Again more hops in the taste. Great bitterness and exceptional drinkability. The real deal. imdownthepub (3995), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Jun 16, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Amber with white head. Hoppy, bittersweet beer, really good for a Sunday lunchtime session. Lemony tangy notes with a slightly fuller malt character. A very decent beer. suzquaffs (12), England Jan 26, 2008 Bottle from stock (Quaffs) also sample from minicask (Quaffs). Amber colour with white head. Again you can smell fresh hops and tropical fruits. An excellent, slightly sparkliing bitter with an American twist. berkshire_john (1035), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Oct 14, 2007 500ml bottle conditioned from Budgens, Ascot. Copper coloured, some carbonation but very little head; rich fruity malt aroma; earthy malt body with good hops coming through. An excellent bitter. ekstedt (1785), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 7, 2008 Sampled at the RBESG08 grand tasting. Very much like the Alligator but with some butterscotch notes.
