Pour on tap was slightly hazy orange with thin white head, aroma brought notes of orange, toffee, hints of grass and slight earth, touch of biscuit and bready notes, some more slight citrus fruits. Taste was fairly restrained, orange and grapefruit, hints of caramel and biscuit, earth and grass with a fairly bitter finish. Decent.

Draft. Pours a lasting white head with attractive lacing, over an amber (SRM 10) clear body....nose is light pine, citrus, light floral honey....taste is bitter hop at the fore, leading to very light toffee/caramel, with a strong bitter finish....mouth feel medium, minimal stickiness, alcohol hidden, carbonation adds a pleasant spritz. This is a typical I/DIPA. It is not particularly complex, but is a pleasant enough drink. BJCP 6/3/12/4/5

Sampled in a bomber. A mile IPA. Wouldn’t call it a double IPA as it is not that heavily hopped. Served chilled and it went down very nice.

A pretty good IPA. Seemed very piney aroma. Thick and syrupy texture. Lots of malt to balance out the hops.

Tap at brewery. Red orange, clear appearance with a somewhat light disappearing white head. Hops in the nose with residue with a fair amount of maltiness. Despite the residue-like hop flavor, there is a big pale-amber malty flavor. A bit syrupy but still ok to good.

On Tap at Uptown Brothers, Denver 14/09/2010 Massive fruit and hop aroma. Amber coloured very hoppy and fruity pine flavoured with a hint of dryness in a nutty and bitter malt finish.

GABF 2010. Pours clear amber with an average, creamy cream colored head, medium retention and good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, caramel, toasted), heavy hops (floral, pine, citrus), light esters (apple/pear) with notes of peach and pineapple. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toasted), heavy hops (floral, pine, citrus, spicy), light esters (apple/pear) with notes of peach. Full body, high warmth, medium carbonation, and low creaminess with a dry and biting finish.

A solid imperial IPA, though there’s not much about it that is new or exciting.

poured at the 14th annual CO Brewers’ Rendezvous. double-hopped, they said, and run through the hopback. all organic to boot, nice bright orange colour with a puffy head. intense but well done. big pine, with supporting wet earth quality and some top notes of citrus and caramel mid-palate. green and grassy, a touch of floral. If you like bigass IPAs, this one is worth a taste for sure. "Caramel," for the record, does have a second A. Just sayin’.
