3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light, clear brown pour. Malty caramel aroma. Sweetness is neatly balanced by the hops with a nice, creamy mouthfeel. residual sweetness and bitterness conflict afterwards.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly/fully diminishing.
Body is medium to dark amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, malt syrup), lightly hoppy (apricot).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation.
Pretty beginner homebrew-ish...syrupy, simple, and overly sweet.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2014 On tap at Cactus Jack’s. Amber and clear with a sticky white head and light lacing. Toasted malts, light hops, caramel, toffee, light chocolate and earthy aroma. Similar flavor, pretty mild and easy to drink, lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Average body with a crisp feel. Not bad.
Update: I had 4 or 5 of these last night. Definitely some brown ale characteristics with this beer. 647313

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap at brewery. Clear amber hued with a thin, fast-dissipating head. Slightly off aroma for an amber, smelled kinda candy sweet and a little vegetal, though there was also a touch of caramel and some sort of tone akin to fresh linen. Odd. Taste was much more classical, though not as caramelly sweet as I had hoped. Malty earthiness starts the flavor with a little bitterness and just the littlest bit of some sort of maple-like sweetness. Surprisingly dry overall. Not a huge fan.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear amber with a finger of rocky tan head. Decent retention and a little lacing. Aroma was mild, slight sweet malt, bread, and hay. Flavor was sweet and and mellow up front, mildly malty, grain. Faintly nutty with caramel, fairly light taste overall. Relatively clean finish. Moderate carbonation and a light body. Clean, drinkable, and tasty, but could have a bolder flavor.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A grassy-toffee aroma, slightly bitter taste with a short lingering malty palate. Not as sweet as the brewer describes.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice amber color, thin head. Malts flavor, very smooth. Not a ton if flavor, its a little bland. A good beer, not amazing.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours gold with light foam, looks more like an IPA than an amber. Smells of cherry blossoms and light hops. Tastes of cherry wood and strawberries with light bitterness from the hops and a bit of sweetness that doesn’t seem to come directly from the excess of malts in many ambers.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tap at brewery. Clear rust orange colored body with an off white colored head. Slightly bitter amber malty aroma- pretty basic. Slightly bitter flavor with amber malts. This could be classified as a weak ESB or a red ale. Definitely more bitter than other amber ales but still drinkable. Ok.
