On tap at the brewpub. Near black with thick mocha head. Subdued aroma of roast and bitter chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet -roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate and coffee notes. Finishes bitter and dry. Creamy full body mouthfeel. Enjoyable stout.

Dark opaque pour with a spot of light making it through and two fingers of burnt wood brown head. Nose shows some slightly acidic dark grain with black coffee and cherry skins. A little on the burnt/acrid side in the flavor with some ashy notes and bitter coffee. Some bakers chocolate shows as well with an earthy note on the finish. Medium full bodied.

Pint with John Wick movie. Beer far, far better than movie. Mouthfeel/ palate is a standout on this one- super smooth and full and satisfying from the oatmeal. Almost drinks like it on nitro. Usual and delicious stout notes- coffee, chocolate and minimal hoppiness. Hint of smoke. Nice to have a solid stout with no weird spice/ flavor notes. Nice balance- not overly sweet. So freakin’ smooth. Great.

On tap at the coxe ave location. Smooth big flavors. Little bit of vanilla. Lots of chocolate and roasty malt. Creamy oatmeal texture. Pleasantly surprised here.

Tap. Very dark brown. Smells of roast, hints of licorice. Loads of licorice and roast flavors. Huge flavor. Heavy for a summer Stout? Hell no. Its delish. (3512)

I really liked this one. Poured super dark with a thick head to it. Good level of roasting to it with just a hint of smokiness. Nice and thick and very easy to drink. Very good stout.

Pretty dark brown pour, acceptable tan head. Roast malt, oats, barley nose. Slight maltiness, coffee, baker’s chocolate. Finishes pretty dry and clean. Best beer from APBC I’ve had.
