Bomber with super tasty chili and some friends. Good if nothing spectacular. Has all the right notes for a porter- drinks on the heavier side in terms of mouthfeel. Chocolate and roast - on the sweet side. Strawberries this year are subtle but one can hunt and peck for them. With vanilla bean, strawberries and cocoa powder from French Broad chocolates I can see what they’re getting at with the Neopolitan on the label. Decent.

Pours a deep brownish black on tap with fluffy tan head that dissipates slowly to leave moderate lace. Aroma and taste of sweet berry notes over slight roast. All flavors are pretty muted, carbonation is good, medium mouth. Meh.

Taste comprises rich malt, cocoa poweder, raspberry, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok porter, raspberries well evident.

bomber from GSO. Light but apparent raspberry flavor. Porter base is a little weak and falls too much to the background. There is a bit of a roasty malt aspect to it. Bit of a chocolate creaminess later in the palate as well. Finish is lightly sweet.

Keg @ the brewpub. Dark brown, small head. Chocolate with a bit of tart, sweet raspberry purée. Similar flavor. Nice juicy raspberry on the back end. More coffee. Cocoa. Medium body, soft carb.

Brewvival 2015 Trip #33. Keg at the Coxe location. Pours a dark brown with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, mild chocolate. The taste is chocolate, roasted malt, raspberry finish. Medium bodied, well balanced.

4oz pour. Mostly clear, orange red brown color. Thin off-white head. Leaves great, thicker lace. Great raspberry and dark chocolate aroma. Moderate bitter, light to moderate sweet taste. Medium body, to medium-plus. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light dry finish --- though mostly slick. A solid, hoppy belgian darker pale ale.

Brown color. Tan head. Pretty bad. Sour, astringent, chalky, funky. Not really good at all.

Pint at Bottle Revolution RDU. Good aroma sweet, chocolate stronger, raspberry milder. Dark orange brown color good head and lace. Sweet flavor. Medium body creamy smooth mouthfeel sweet finish. It’s nice. Nice borderline session brew. Like the flavor little more than aroma, but not by much. Good solid, but not a wow beer either
