COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Everyone loves a good ninja, and we’re no exception. This beer has chopped, flipped and posed its way to its pedestal as one of our most popular and asked-about offerings. "How?" you may ask. Part of it is pure stealth power and part of it is pure secret, and we’d have to kill you. But the other part is the rich, satisfying body and hard-hitting chocolate finish with notes of coffee and caramel. Carefully measured quantities of Mt. Hood, Northern Brewer and Cascade hops added with masterful precision balance it all out.

Had on tap at Beer City Bicycles while watching Canadian women win Gold in hockey at Sochi Olympics. Great selection of local brews on tap- plus bikes- great place. Pours dark and thick- not much head. All your typical porter flavours- coffee, earthy, caramel - nicely balanced with the hops. It’s good- just nothing really different or exceptional about it. Mouthfeel more like a stout to me. Nice winter sipper. Not bad, feel like they just played it a bit safe.

Chocolate, roasty aroma, dark in color, thick caramel head, as it warms you get a slight smokey flavor and finishes smoeth and chocolatey, low carbonation. Drinks like a Dry Irish Stout really.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. More hop forward aroma than most porters, but with the standard coffee and roasted malt aromas. Deep reddish-brown flavor with a tan head. Creamier than I’d expect from a porter, with plenty of hop assertiveness. Very low carbonation. It has a milk chocolate finish. Really smooth porter that doesn’t necessarily do anything special, but doesn’t do anything wrong either. It’s a hophead’s porter.

11/27/13. On tap at White Duck Taco in Asheville. Great tacos, okay beer. Dark pour, almost black, with a small tan head. Mild roast aroma, some cocoa, coffee, cream, doughy malts. Mild flavor as well, some roast, coffee, chocolate, and cream. A little acidic from the roast. Not bad.

Deep brown pour, tan head. Up front chocolate notes, dark dried fruit, some nice solid roasted malt and a hint of a coffee finish.

Floral, cocoa and coffee in the aroma. Pours a near black with faint candy red highlights and thin mocha colored head with no lacing. Some dry roast a touch of smoke, coffee and chocolate. A bit thin a bit of fruit. Tasty session porter.

i found this one kinda watery and bland, nothing too notable in the flavors outside of dark grains. weak backbone on this ninja.

12 oz can served in a mug. Pours virtually black with a towering, sudsy tan head. Very smooth with soft, low carbonation. Medium intensity aroma and flavor. Dark malts dominate with only a touch of burnt grain. A trace of dark fruit mid-taste and of smoke and coffee in the finish and aftertaste. O: very nice porter in a can.
