3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2014 Expected to like it more- bit of an off/ overly bitter finish to me. Pours on the orange side of yellow., Nose is citrus and tropical (citra) with some hints of white wine. Taste is fairly balanced with a dank feel. Definitely hoppy as advertised. Could be too much sweetness in the hops for me between tropical notes of citra and sweetness of El Dorado. Somewhat tempered by Nelson Sauvin. Not my favorite IPA. Will try again to like it more.
Attempt #2. On tap at Buffalo Nickel. Better than I remembered. Decently balanced- nice finish to it. Definitely lives up to the IPA label. Not outstanding, but pretty darn good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft to taster at the Coxe Ave brewpub. Looks good; a transparent golden orange with thin foamy eggshell head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells solid; fruity hops with a medium-bodied pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. bottle from Appalachian Vintner, Asheville, NC. Copper-colored pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of tangerine, mangoes, and wet grass. The taste features bitter citrus hops that are well balanced with rye malts and a touch of caramel. Pleasing to both the bitter hop fan as well as those that like their IPAs balanced if that is possible. Surprisingly very awesome!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Comes out of the tap a lovely clear golden with a frothy eggshell head. Resiny hops dominate the aroma but let through citrus and subtle malty notes. Flavor is richly hoppy, evergreen and resin, fairly bitter, with a grapefruit underpinning and a malty snippet.c firm texture is quite fizzy, going down quite well - you can feel it all the way to your tummy. A great beer for a perfect day.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the Merrimon location. Nice mix of caramel malts and piney hops, well made, no problems that I could find. What’s with the commercial description? Is everybody trying to shoehorn the word "session" into every beer now? A 6.5% IPA is not a session beer. Quit saying that.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint on tap at RiverLink in Asheville.
Clear amber with a bone-colored head. The aroma has good complexity and appeal, with herbal/fruity hops over a reltively strong and sweet malt base.
The hops are more than just adequate for the style, but here is a substantial malt load that tames the hops and leaves the beer with a quite mild bitterness. Nonetheless, a very long lasting and hoppy aftertaste. Medium body with crisp carbonation.
O: Not perfect but quite tasty and easily recommended.
