COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Perfect Day is a ridiculously delicious, supremely drinkable beer that goes down like a session style pale but packs the hop flavor of a big IPA; which it is. ... El Dorado, Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops give Perfect Day flavors and aromas of citrus and fruits. There is also a distinct aroma and flavor of white grapes that come from the very unique Nelson Sauvin hops. We dry hopped Perfect Day with equal parts El Dorado and Citra for extra hoppy perfection. Last but not least a touch of Rye malt was used to add a subtle complexity and to compliment all of that hop flavor.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2014 Expected to like it more- bit of an off/ overly bitter finish to me. Pours on the orange side of yellow., Nose is citrus and tropical (citra) with some hints of white wine. Taste is fairly balanced with a dank feel. Definitely hoppy as advertised. Could be too much sweetness in the hops for me between tropical notes of citra and sweetness of El Dorado. Somewhat tempered by Nelson Sauvin. Not my favorite IPA. Will try again to like it more. Attempt #2. On tap at Buffalo Nickel. Better than I remembered. Decently balanced- nice finish to it. Definitely lives up to the IPA label. Not outstanding, but pretty darn good.

Had this on tap at Asheville Pizza and Brewing. Yellowish orange in appearance with a medium, white head. The aroma is a fresh citrus, pine, orange peel. This beer has prominent tropical notes, citrus, pine, fruity, light-medium bitterness. All in all, very smooth, refreshing and tasty beer. Very good.

Bottle back from bestway. Light gold color. Good lacing. Bubblegum sort of aroma. Flavor is sticky pine and resin. Finish is bitter pine. Decent malt balance and pretty entertaining.

Keg at the brewpub on Cox, 17/02/15. Clear golden with a moderately appointed off white covering. Nose is floral, passionfruit, mandarin, tangerine, light pine. Taste comprises citric pithdom, straw, tangerine, light grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok IPA.

Keg @ the brewpub. Sort of hazy deep gold pour with an eggshell white head. Lemon zest and general dank citrus. Nicely acerbic, inviting. Taste is of lemon curd. Pickering lime. Dry grass. Medium body, soft carb.

4oz on tap at the brewpub. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Nice, citrusy peppery grapefruity aroma. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. light slick finish. Medium to bigger body. Grapefruit citrus, mild spiciness. Some pepperiness. Medium-plus sweet taste, mild tang. Moderate-plus bitterness. A solid, zesty, juicy resiny IPA. Amazing hop on this, now that I re-rate. Deserving of the 3.7.

Somewhat soft golden pour with one finger of off-white head. Nose has a buttery/cooked peach note to it with notes of overripe fruit and a touch of garlic. Kind of muddled in the flavor with butter and cooked peaches at the forefront with a touch of cherry and a piney note. Medium bodied with a very moderate bitterness.
