4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BarleyandVine (15) - Stockbridge, Georgia, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Beer #2 at Asheville Brewing. Great cascade aroma with a subtle maltiness. The hop flavor paired with the Munich malt backbone makes this a tasty brew. The residual bitterness lingers a bit after the malt subsides.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Kinz (2968) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JAN 8, 2013
Beer #5 Asheville trip. Billed by the brewpub as an IPA, which I think fitted nicely. Again, pretty textbook. Deeper orange than Shiva. A touch more caramel accent, and again, grapefruit and pine. Liked it a tad more than Shiva.

Draft. Pours dark golden thin lacing. Nice aroma of citrus and floral. Medium sweet flavor. Medium body, medium bitter hop finish. Nice balance and good pale ale overall.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 SpringsLicker (2822) - Tennessee, USA - SEP 17, 2012
Draft at the Merrimon St location. Pours a light gold with a white head. Nice citrus hop aroma. Well supported hop bitterness that goes all the way to the finish. Very nice. Better than many IPAs and most Pale Ales. My second glass was the IPA and the Old School was the better of the two by far.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PaperKnife (82) - - MAY 29, 2012
Draft at the brewpub. Orange with a white foamy head. Floral, citrus aroma. Citrus, caramel, grassiness.

Soft but tempting aroma with an amber orange pour and a surprisingly hoppy taste and almost warming mouthfeel.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ADesenberg (303) - Ohio, USA - MAR 9, 2012
Draft, sampler: it pours a nice orangey color with a white head. It’s aroma is sweeter than I feel an ipa should be, but it’s not bad. The bitter hoppiness isn’t quite there, but it’s drinkable and refreshing.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blipp (4782) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Draft. Pours amber orange with a white head. Citric hoppy aroma with a hint of pine and sweet malts. The flavor has floral hops, a hint of marijuana, and sweet malts. Not bad.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 magsinva (600) - Virginia, USA - AUG 27, 2011
Tap @ APBC - pours a clear orange brown with a white head. Aroma is floral and a little grassy. Taste is mildly bitter and spicy. Bitterness lingers nicely. Overall, another above average brew.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DiarmaidBHK (2274) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 27, 2011
Pours slightly orange from tap. If I took in an enormous snort I could smell a hop. The taste is bland although there’s some bitterness on the finish. I’d prefer a bit more balance.
