2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 beerguy101 (5206) - Newark, California, USA - JUN 3, 2008
This APA pours a light gold color from the tap at the brewpub. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is slightly bready some malt and hops. A medium to light bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are slightly citrusy. More of a mild English Pale Ale. Nice finish, but nowhere bitter enough for an APA, let alone an IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Suttree (4498) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 2, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2006 Red, as the name implies. But not particularly light, so I suppose that portion of the name is a bit of a misnomer. Also kinda cloudy, which isn’t even addressed in name. If you want, you could call it "Red Cloud IPA" and be much more accurate. Anyway, smells kind of peppery and citrusy, with a hint of cedar. Stoney, piney hops dominate the flavor, with just a hint of cereal maltiness as well as a touch of caramel. Very tasty brew.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 decaturstevo (4157) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - SEP 19, 2007
On tap at APBC. A slightly hazed deep amber pour. An aroma of light hops a bit of sweet malt. The flavor follows suit with a good bitter. A slight sourness kept me from rating it a bit higher. A decent palate just a tad thin but carbonation was good. A decent offering as well.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ChainGangGuy (4132) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - SEP 24, 2007
Appearance: Pours a hazy, reddish-copper body with a decent off-white head.
Smell: A middling caramel maltiness to the aroma, but it has a decent aromatic bite of floral, piney hops.
Taste: Caramel malt flavor with reserved sweetness upfront soon gives way to a lasting floral, piney hop character and a sensible level of bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: An upright IPA.
