COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is what its like when worlds collide. We too the best parts of ales - the complex flavors and body - and mashed them up with the best parts of lagers - the drinkability and crisp finish. The experiment yielded surpassingly satisfying results. The secret lies in the special Kolsch yeast and low fermentation temperatures. Effervescent and refreshing with a bright clear straw color and light fruity flavors, Rocket Girl is at one accessible, mysterious and sophisticated. She may not be your everyday gal, but she’s got one heavenly body.

Beer 2 Asheville trip. I actually think this was more of a Kolsch. Pale gold, aroma of malt, lightly honey in character, and faint pear. Flavor is a match. Dry, clean finish. Enough bitterness to balance. Nicely done. Should point out this one was one of my wife’s favorites of the entire trip, and she tends to be pretty picky about beers like this.

Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is light malt and subtle hops. Flavor is lightly sweet with little malt or hop flavor. Some dryness in the finish. Plain and simple.

A golden color with a white head. Some corn and grassy notes in da nose. Flavor is somewhat malty and very sessionable. Lemons are present. Overall for a light lager not bad.

Pours a clear golden with relatively little head. This struck me as a decent but typical cheap lager. Easy and clean, but no substance to it.

Tasted on 8/6/12 from a 12oz can purchased at Bruisin’ Ales. Pours clear brassy orange with a thick off-white head that slowly recedes to thick, messy lace. The nose is light corny malt with a touch of almost soda-like lemon and lime, with spicy and herbal noble-style hops. The flavor is dry corny malt with the same spicy and herbal hops from the nose. The body is light with lively carbonation and a long intensely bitter and herbal hops finish.

Can from Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Golden hay pour. Thin white head. Little to no lacing on my Nils Oscar Lager glass. Biscuity malt aroma. Traditional lager nose. I didn’t care for the taste at first . . . but it grew on me. A crispy effervescent start - very nice. But then it seemed to end abruptly, like the enjoyable taste just fell off a cliff. I let the beer warm up a few degrees - problem solved. A great mix of a fizzy, lively malt body and sustained bitterness from start to finish. Low ABV. Great lawnmower session beer.
