Pours a clear golden with relatively little head. This struck me as a decent but typical cheap lager. Easy and clean, but no substance to it.

Tasted on 8/6/12 from a 12oz can purchased at Bruisin’ Ales. Pours clear brassy orange with a thick off-white head that slowly recedes to thick, messy lace. The nose is light corny malt with a touch of almost soda-like lemon and lime, with spicy and herbal noble-style hops. The flavor is dry corny malt with the same spicy and herbal hops from the nose. The body is light with lively carbonation and a long intensely bitter and herbal hops finish.

Can from Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Golden hay pour. Thin white head. Little to no lacing on my Nils Oscar Lager glass. Biscuity malt aroma. Traditional lager nose. I didn’t care for the taste at first . . . but it grew on me. A crispy effervescent start - very nice. But then it seemed to end abruptly, like the enjoyable taste just fell off a cliff. I let the beer warm up a few degrees - problem solved. A great mix of a fizzy, lively malt body and sustained bitterness from start to finish. Low ABV. Great lawnmower session beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
At Asheville Pizza. This is pretty solid stuff for a lighter brew. Gold with a lasting white head. Cereal grains, grassy hops, bready notes. Crisp and a touch bitter and dry in the finish. Nothing amazing but a beer I could drink a lot of during the hot summers.

Draft to pint. Looks good; copper with nice head and carbonation. Smells solid; doughy with some hop notes. Tastes alright, but nothing special. Not a bad lager, but not a great one either.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz can into a pint glass.
Pours a clear gold with a one finger white head.
A nice biscuity aroma along with some cereal grains. Some floral hops are present as well.
The taste is pretty malty with biscuit and caramel. Grass and hay hop flavor along with a moderate to hight bitterness takes hold quickly and linger long into the finish. Mouthfeel is somewhat watery but that can almost be expected of a beer that is only 3.2%
Overall this beer has a lot of flavor for being such low strength. A truly great session beer.

Can from Bruisin Ales. Pours slight hazy gold with a slight creamy near white head. Smells lightly fruity with some light malt. Med body. It is lightly fruity and slightly bitter. Moderately bready. Pretty Kolsch like. Finishes spicy/bitter. Not your typical premium lager.

Draft at the Coxe location. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, floral hops. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, floral and spicy hops. Medium bodied. Could use some more bitterness, but still decent.
