This is what its like when worlds collide. We too the best parts of ales - the complex flavors and body - and mashed them up with the best parts of lagers - the drinkability and crisp finish. The experiment yielded surpassingly satisfying results. The secret lies in the special Kolsch yeast and low fermentation temperatures. Effervescent and refreshing with a bright clear straw color and light fruity flavors, Rocket Girl is at one accessible, mysterious and sophisticated. She may not be your everyday gal, but she’s got one heavenly body.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Aroma of light fruits, pale bready malts. Flavor of bready malt, caramel malt, with light bitter hops in the finish. Not too sweet and easy drinking. Better than I had expected! It really is a Kolsch, not a premium lager. 6/4/7/4/14 [3.5/5]

Middle of the road all malt lager. Pours slightly watery. Biscuity malt profile. Well balanced, but thin and a bit weak on the flavor side. Noble hop twang is there but not overly aggressive.

This is a light lager. A bit of straw malt and little else. This is the brewpub’s beer for the friends of beer geeks who aren’t beer geeks.

Draft at the pub. Pretty much what you would expect from this style. Not a terrible blonde ale or anything, but even when they are good they tend to fall short.

The menu said that this beer was 3.2% alcohol. Very good for a low alcohol beer. Crisp and clean taste. Mild maltiness with some minor spiciness and hops in the finish. Grainy flavor throughout. A little boring, but was good to cool off with after hot food.

Lofts of butter on the nose and flavor. Clean and lightly fruity with a sweet finish. I rather enjoyed the aftertaste, but not much else.
