Pours medium orange with a touch of noticeable haze. Nose is flowery and citrus. Flavor is sweet candy, some citrus, some light astringent flavors and some spicy hop flavors. Bitterness is punchy and lingers. Ok beer.

Clear. Sweet candied pineapple and floral aroma. Bready caramel notes with some residual sweetness. Lingering bitterness. Floral and candy-like hop flavors. A bit over carbed I think. Good.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pine resin, pineapple rind, agave nectar in the nose. Syrupy / filmy texture. High bitterness, high sweetness, low apparent acidity. Pretty plain pine and fruit IPA with a lengthy syrup quality in the mouth.

Can; nice brew. The hop profile on this one gives a more robust flavor than many ipa's. Less fruit..more of a bread taste. Not a bad thing. Good brew!

12-oz. can (shared by jpdurden24). Deep straw color with a uniform, one-finger, white head. Light piney aroma with some grapefruit and caramel, and a surprising slight milk tone. More malty than I expected on the first sip with heavy bread dough tones and a boatload of caramel. The dry, pinenut bitterness kicks in late but doesn’t last long. The can isn’t old (dated Oct. 3, 2013) so that can’t be the reason for the light hoppiness. Odd sharp and sweet finish that is quite abrupt. Overall, it’s OK but won’t stand out in a crowded field; it drinks more like a pale ale.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
can: Pours a clear light amber with large white head. Aroma is distinct flowery, grapefruit. Taste is slightly sweet, light caramel blending quickly into strong grapefruit and smooth hop spiciness. Mouthfeel is light, mostly doe to high carbonation. While strongly bitter, it is smooth and not harsh making it enjoyable.

On tap at Asheville Pizza. Clear orange pour with a white foamy head. Aroma of citrus, pine and resin. A typical IPA. Nothing special. Citrus and pine hops up front, followed by resin hops and a slightly sweet malt backbone. Just enough malts to balance out the dryness of the resin and pine hops. Has a nice bittersweet finish.
