Cask conditioned at The Cross Keys, Belper, 17-01-08 Poured amber in colour with great clarity and a tiny rim of bubbles for the head, it looked great. A slightly sulphourous nose leads to a wonderful fruit and toffee combination in the mouth, a very good beer.

On cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 3 on 6 August 2009. Amber colour. Soft mouthfeel. Caramel malt on the palate. Modest bitterness. Soft mouthfeel. A fairly straightforward, traditional bitter. A bit short of hops I felt.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Alphadelic (1470) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 6, 2010
Brown/orange with a good white head. Stuffy, damp tobacco and light malts contribute to a bland nose. Stiff caramel malts, a protracted roasty finish with hints of orange and toffee sweetness. I’d be pretty chuffed to get a pint of this in my local.
