2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours yellow with a thin white head. Smells of creamed corn, some appley hints, skunky. Tastes sweet and chewy with some stray hoppy hints on the finish. There is a weird saccharine like taste on the finish.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Pretty similar to the Harar, this one does not have much body or character. Some malt, some hops, just nothing special.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also, but not much foam. Aroma sourish and a bit sweet. Tastes washy, a bit malty, finish a little bit drier. Very drinkable and good lager!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a nice, clean lager that tastes more like a standard lager than the Ethiopian Harar or Meta. It looks similar to Harar, being a deep straw yellow, very faintly hazy, with a fairly big, creamy white head that slowly shrinks and leaves some light, creamy lace. The aroma is light and sweet but pleasant, mostly light dough with honey and a hint of flowers. The taste is also light but quite pleasant. It’s a bit sweet with no bitterness, a clean flavour of apple with dough and honey and a hint of mineral, plus a lightly noticeable, but pleasant alcoholic warming quality. It’s smooth and drinkable.

A hazy light yellow beer with a beutiful white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with light flowery notes. The flavor is sweet malty, and lightly hoppy giving it a dry finish.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bought this beer at an Ethiopian restaurant in Washington D.C. It really complemented the meal rather well, had a cleansing affect on the palate, nice and somewhat creamy (which is quite odd for a lager). If I had this beer on its own, I don’t think it would have fared as well, quite bland, a little to grassy, but only on its own. Takes on the flavor of whatever you are eating.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Hazy pale yellow with a foamy snow white head. Quite sweet brewing mashy aroma with grainy and creamy notes and not much bitterness. Sweet and rather sugary in the flavor as well. Grainy with some bitter hints in the end. Pretty fresh and not too bad, but thin bodied and bland.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very pale yellow with a little sticky heady; a little hazy. Very dusty, but a strong alcohol flavor, reminding me of drinking a church wine, where a little on the tongue hits all the day down the hatch; a little peppery at the back of the tongue. Finish of canteloupe (I’m very pleased to see that Per notes melon flavors too!). Adequate mouthfeel. After all that Eritrea has come through over the past few decades, I gave it a tenth of a point more. It was the least I could do. (Bottle at Brickskellar, Washington, D.C.)
