DarkMagus (409), San Jose, California, USA May 2, 2007 Hazy yellow color. Thick white head. Predominantly hoppy aromd, with some light fruity characteristics. Sweet, fruity, hoppy flavors with minimal malt presence. A fairly dry finish. Very light palate, not what I usually expect in a pale ale, but pretty good nonetheless. jdjuice (199), Japan Dec 4, 2006 I’m expecting this to be the boring flagship ale for Aso Farmland, so my expectations are not high. As a small head on the pour, with a fairly dark golden color and a hint of green. Aroma is reminiscent of Japanese macrobrews: sweet, ricey, not much depth. First taste confirms my suspicions. High carbonation to go with thin mouthfeel and bland, slightly bitter rice flavors. Not worth the 420 yen.
