0.5 l bottle from Alko, 7 %. Deep golden to copper color with sparkling appearance. Firm woody and tart apple aroma with hint of eggy sulfur. Tart apple flavor with grapefruit, pineapple and hint of smoky phenols. Astringent and woody mouthfeel, nicely dry. Fairly rich yet dry taste.

Bottle - but I’m not sure which store. Pours medium gold with transitory white bubbles. Aromas of fresh golden apples. Medium body with pretty sharp carbonation. Flavor starts gold apple skin, goes slightly sour, then goes astringent, ending with light cooked apple. Pretty decent cider.

Bottle, thanks to Slothez. Clear light pissy golden colour. Nose had suitable amounts of tart apple in evidence. Loo loo loo I’ve got some apples...Loo loo loo you’ve got some too... as butters would sing. Ahem . Flavour commenced sweet and tart then finished dryish. Ok cider, nowt pant wetting.

Alphadelic (1751) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 10, 2010
500ml bottle from Waitrose in Suffolk. Crisp and clear pale gold. The nose is tart and dry with chalky apple aromas and a touch of vinegar. Burst of sugar appear too but infrequently. A second of sweetness and then tangy acidity and smooth fruit flavours followed by some dryness. In the mouth it is light and refreshing with a soft carbonation. Pretty drinkable though I can imagine it becoming a little stomach churning due to the amount of vinegary acid.

Bottled (7.0 %). Golden colour, no head. Aroma is apples, a bit white wine like notes. Flavour is quite similar. Semidry palate.

Pours yellow with a quickly receding white head. Notes of tart apple, malic acid, light champagne and white grape. Thin bodied with light carbonation. Dry and bubbly gives this a champagne-like texture. Yum.

Bottle.

Reasonably nice apple aroma, buttery flavor that comes through mildly sweet. I’m not overly impressed with this one.

Sigmund (4820) - Tau, NORWAY - DEC 13, 2009
500 ml bottle, as Aspall Classic Organic Suffolk Cyder. ABV is 7.0%. Pours very fizzy with a big but very short-lived head. Moderate carbonation in the glass. Nice aroma of cider apples, hints of oak and sulphur. The flavour is crisp and dry, cider apples of course, again with notes of oak and sulphur. Probably best with food.
