Chewy and earthy with a rustic quality, and an extra astringency from the tannins.

Same light vino-verde, dry star colour as the Aspall dry. Smells of linoleum, apple peels, non-vintage demi-sec champagne. Full mouthfeel with an on-going tingle lasting to the back of the mouth developing into juiciness. Drier than I was expecting (a good thing), but would go for the Aspall dry if put in front of me.

Bottle. Pale straw colour. The nose is soft and fruity. A little bit of soft wildness and a touch of light malic tartness. A nice balance. Simple but tasty.

500ml bottle. Clear, light orange with a fading fizzy white head. Sharp, tangy apple aroma, with some sugary, sweeter red apple. Almost idential flavour profile, sour/sweet ripe green apples, a lingering dry tang and a delicate apple skin bitterness. Light to medium body, quite loaded with carbonation on the palate. The 7% doesn’t really notice. Tangy yet not overly so and would be quite drinkable if it wasn’t for the agressive carbonation.

Bottle pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma shows notes of red/gold/yellow apples and maybe a hint of pear. Flavor shows the same. Overall body is moderate and somewhat sweet with a hint of tartness.
