3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 tomxcs (317) - Berkeley, USA - SEP 14, 2006
500mL bottle, purchased at Whole Foods in Madison ($6). Poured bright gold with a soapy thin head; low-moderate carbonation. Nice apple aroma, some grassy & lightly funky aromas as well. Sweet-dry, light sour funkiness in flavor, herbal. Dries out at the end, but not to the extent of some ciders, as it still leaves sweetness. Nothing special, but I always like trying whatever ciders I can get my hands on.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 YAFB (11) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 19, 2012
A full bodied cider with a punch. Dried apple and hints of blueberry and candy floss, it’s got just the right amount of acid and a very clean finish. 7% alcohol on the Australian import.

Bottle. Yellow colour with no head. Aroma is sulphur, yeast, hint of apple. Flavour is sulphur, yeast, apple. Medium to thin body. Boring cider.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 johninmelb (748) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2012
Nose is a bit sharp and astringent. Pours straw yellow. Flavour is pleasant enough but that underpinning sharpness remains, and if anything this cider suffers from a marked lack of any distinction.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 1, 2012
0.375l bottle. Nice bottle on this one. It pours a crystal clear green-yellow body with no head what so ever. Light sweet in the aroma with lots of cider-apples, white wine, grapes and sugar. It has a fizzing oily texture and it’s what I would call average carbonated. Fortunately not as sweet in the flavor. Yes, some sweetness here, but that’s all coming from the apples. Yeah, it’s quite apply actually, and it has a really nice light acidic tone as well as a thin hint of alcohol near the finish. Dry mouthing finish and aftertaste. This was quite a nice one. 25.02.2012
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 ClubGonzo (1943) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 2, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear pale, near-green yellow body with no head to speak of (as usual with cider). Aroma is mineral salts, light sulfuric tones, wood, yeast and yellow apples. Taste is weird and sulfuric, with wood and astringent sawdust-like bitterness in between rotting vegetables and accentuated yeasty tones. Parching mouthfeel and surprisingly watery mouthfeel despite the high ABV - it’s just too dry, I reckon. Not a good one. Judging by the low Norwegian ratings on this one, the entire batch shipped to Norway might have been bad. At least, I hope so for the sake of the producers...

500 ml bottle. Pale golden body almost without any head at all. Aroma is mostly sulfide and yeast. Flavor is mild and acidic apple with some off flavors. Not much apples here and the rest is not particular pleasant either.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Meilby (2658) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 24, 2012
Bottle 500ml @ gunnfryd
Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma has notes of apples and sulfur. Taste is light sweet and light sour with a dry finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonaiton is soft.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 yngwie (9175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 24, 2012
Bottle. It pours a clear, pale yellow body and some white bubbles on top. Sulphur, a touch of apples and some oat nuts. The flavor is more on the apple side, but it’s not completely free of oat nuts and sulphur. Rather boring and sure lacking on the apple flavors. Medium body. Overall, not very interesting and sure lacking on apples. Don’t see any use for this, even though it’s drinkable and all that. 120124
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 SanfordBrewer (1261) - Sanford, Florida, USA - JAN 22, 2012

Aroma: musty apples with a touch of sourness.
Taste: musty apples with sour grassy notes.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jimthechap (786) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 29, 2011
Same light vino-verde, dry star colour as the Aspall dry. Smells of linoleum, apple peels, non-vintage demi-sec champagne. Full mouthfeel with an on-going tingle lasting to the back of the mouth developing into juiciness. Drier than I was expecting (a good thing), but would go for the Aspall dry if put in front of me.
