3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Clear slightly golden yellow. Pleasant but subtle apple aroma. Light body but nice lively carbonation. Well balanced flavour, neither too tart, nor too sweet, but nothing really distinctive about it. Crisp finish. Decent mainstream cider - eminently quaffable and quite forgettable.

Bottle, poured into weizen glass. Body is clear, pale banana yellow. The head is frothy, diminishing quickly. The aroma is peppery, vibrant, and summery . This cider is on the dryer side, slightly acetic. Nice finish

Tap (Red Bull, Cambridge)
Crisp, but a bit watery. This is the target that the macros are aiming for. However, I like scrumpies or french style oaky ones more than this style.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasting from Jan’ 2008.
From the bottle into a pilsner glass at the York Imperial Hotel, York. Yellow gold, sparklingly translucent with wee intermittent bubbles. Soft supple fruit nose, some peel, a little biting and prickly to the nostrils. Sweet fruit in the mouth, tangy and well rounded with a sourish, acidic balance along the sides. Vinous, Chenin Blanc-like white wine swallow, mildly astringent, some apple skin notes coming through also. Bounces well, very light and racy on the palate. Clean, free of nasties and crisp. Good sessionable quality but nothing much to intrigue. Pleasant. ( 50cL, no date stamp)

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the Ten Bells, Norwich. Poured a clear, fizzy orange with no head. Tart, acidic apples with sweeter notes coming through. Dry and quite puckering tart apples balanced by a light sweetness beforehand. Short finish, a touch of apple skin bitterness, fairly full carbonation and light body.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear champagne colouring with a good carbonation. Sweet, syrupy aroma which is backed up by an equally sweet taste. Leaves a cloying, syrupy sensation in the mouth. I quite enjoyed it.
