Bottle from Wetherspoons in Heathrow Terminal 5. Poured very light yellow with min foam. Aroma of light sour apple. Light carb med bod. Sweet tart appley taste that makes my saliva flow.

Clear, very pale straw colour. Slightly sour cider aroma. A bit fizzy mouthfeel. Reminiscent of simple sparkling wine. High drinkability.

330 ml bottle from Citti Markt Flensburg. Clear sparkling golden body with a short lived small white head lingering as a rim. Scented eraser, overripe pears and vinuous fermented apples on the nose. Apple juice, acidic and fruity with a suiting carbonation. Medium bodied and a crisp mouth. Lingering fresh finish with wooden yeasty hints.

On tap at the Greyhound, Pettistree, Suffolk. Very pale in colour- my wife said it looked like Chardonnay. It has a more than a hint of Chardonnay in the flavour too- a good fruitiness with some light summery floral notes and a little fresh apple. Its medium-sweet with just a hint of dryness and a slight sparkle to balance. It’ll be scorned by cider purists, but I enjoyed it as a refreshing and thirst-quenching summer tipple, which is no doubt what it’s intended for.

On tap. Smooth and fruity. Easy to drink, a bit tart. Very juicy, un-winey. The aftertaste is smooth, watery-juicy, slightly tart. --> could be much more intense! 10/12/9/10

Tap sample. Poured clear pale color with a minimal head that diminished slowly with little lacing. Medium floral apple aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart apple flavor with a medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. Soft refreshing beverage.

On tap at Dutch’s. Clear yellow color. No head or lace. Apple juice aroma. An odd almost fishy note to the flavor, something lightly funky about it initially, but that disappears after a few more sips. Medium body, lightly slick. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Moderate sweet, light tart taste. Solid cider, lightly watery. Nothing great or bad about it really, just very middle of the road and standard for me. Easy to drink and relatively refreshing, though. Not too sticky or sugary sweet, mildly dry finish. Extra point for that.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a clear bright yellow gold color with no head. The aroma and flavor have pretty much what I was expecting; sweet apple cider, mild tang, blah, blah, blah. I’m just not interested in these unless there is something special.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a transparent light gold with white lacing that dissipates pretty quickly. Smells like a decent hard cider. Tastes like it smells, but on the sweeter side. Not really an English cider, as it’s not dry, but unoffensive nonetheless.
