The bottle is identical to the label pictured here however, the box has Premier Cru on it, so I’m not sure that the two arent one and the same. Anyhow, I was pleasantly surprised with this one, despite the obvious filtration and forced carbonation, it’s not overly fizzy (given some breathing) and has plentiful wild yeast character. The finish even ends with a nicely tart acidity that removes all the sweetness from the mouth. The aroma has notes of chardonnay and peaches, though white grape juice prevails lightly on the finish. Bits of doughiness and hay mark the opening flavor profile, which grows quite acidic as I mentioned, leading to a unripened nectarine/apricot fruitiness and vibrant green apple crispness. No alcohol noted. Very light in color. Clear. Moderately watery mouthfeel as the carbonation recedes.

A really nice 0.5l long neck bottle. It’s really pale this! Almost like really thin squash drink and the small bubbly white head that came in the pour is leaving a thin ring on the sides of the glass. It smells of green small apples, some wood, a little bit of cellar and traces of ginger. Smells quite alright. It’s above average on the carbonation level and it has a somewhat thin mouthfeel. Not directly watery, but still thin. It’s either sweet or dry this. Feels really balanced, almost a but to balanced? Again, small green apples, some mustard seeds and traces of pear. A bit metallic almost on the aftertaste. Not something I will remember for to long to be honest, but it’s a drinkable way to balanced cider without to much character. 19.04.2013

500ml bottle served cold at home in a tulip.Pale piddly yellow, No real aroma, slightly sour green apple flavour. Where is the creamy or oaky palate that I associate with top-notch cider? Disappointing, and spelling it "Cyder" is just pretentious.

Clear pale golden with a thin white head, carbonation’o’clock in the glass.
Nose is light apples and sugars, a little on the thin side.
Taste comprises apples, straw, sugars.
Full end of medium in body with moderate carbonation belying the visuals, dry and crisp in the finish with a touch of booze.
Ok.

fairly dry apples and apple skin dominate as you’d expect. the tartness is wonderful, and apple character nice though perhaps not the most uniquely characteristic. not bad at all.

Tasted in 2010 (backlog). Clear with a light yellow tint and small white fizz. Aroma is of butter, band-aid and apple. Taste is of butter and apple.

500ml. Beaten yellow to the point of colourlessness with a fleeting fizz of head. Light refuse; well-on-the-turn, wasp-encrusted fruit on the nose; an underwhelming fizz of emptiness beyond hinting at fruit-rubbed bicycle inner tube. Not a sniff of booze- drank the lot in about 10mins. Simplistic, unfruity, uninteresting stuff with a smatter of half-arsed acidity. Crushing after the Sheppy’s oak-aged: might stick to the beer after all.

500ml bottle@BevMo. The best of all Aspall's if you don't like sweets. Pale straw colour with champagne like bubbles and looks. It is so hard to find ciders this dry and it is a shame. Weston's Vintage comes close and so does their Old Rosie but again we're talking about premium hard to find ciders (in the US - back home in Finland, no problem). Absolutely delicious and the 6.8% alcohol content is perfect.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a fizzy, very short duration white (?) head, over a pale yellow (SRM 2), clear, body.....nose is apple with hints of acid.....taste is apple, with hints of acid, finishing dry....mouth feel light, carbonation adds a soda quality. Light, simple, but refreshing, but then, so is sparkling water. BJCP 5/2/10/3/5

Bottle from New Beer. $7.25, About a buck more then when I last saw them fresh, which has been a while.
A mix of scents. Something like cream up front. Watered down white wine, spicy yeast, & bitter rind.
Spritzy, pale gold color. Bright clarity.
Only sort of dry. Riesling-ish sweetness. Sharp cider apples. Upfront tartness, very solid tannins. Hard water. Headache-y acid. Dry, woody finish. Very noticeable sulfites. Champagne feel & aftertaste. Good, just not exactly my flavor.
