COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled only. Available in 330ml & 500ml bottles. Packaged as Aspall Dry Suffolk Cider for export.
Of mid straw-gold colour with a clean, light aroma of dessert apples, Premier Cru is dry, round and creamy on the palate with a good acid balance, pleasant soft tannins and an elegant, long finish.
A champagne taste that embodies the essence of an orchard, it has enticed an admiring audience who describe it as ‘pale, subtle and crisp, with a fresh aroma of English apples.’
An ideal partner for charcuterie and mild cheeses. Premier Cru also provides a very harmonious partnership with spicy foods, particularly curry.

Bottle (BBE Nov 07). Over carbonated. Fairly dry with noticeable strength. Although Aspalls commendably make their cider solely from english freshly pressed apples this seems almost pointless when you actually need to work quite hard to really appreciate this subtle depth.

Bottle. Clear, pale and very sparkling. Oak and pear drop/alcohol aromas. Dry with a slightly chalky body. Excessive carbonation prevents a full appreciation. Similar to the cheap french ciders from the supermarket.

Bottle poured into glass. Compared side by side with the Demi-sec. This was a tad dryer then most ciders I’ve had but other then that it’s really just your standard run of the mill type of cider.

Argonian (51) - Athens, GREECE - MAY 4, 2012
Bottle. Pours a yellow body, with almost no head, but leaves a fair lace. Faint apple aroma. Tastes like white wine, very similar to a champagne, the alcohol is very intense, and I really struggle to find the apples. Very carbonated, low body, not my style.

Draft in a pub in London. Very light hazy darker blond coloured with lots of carbonation and no head. Rather fruity green apple sourness within the aroma. Medium sprankling palate. Finish is sweet-fruity sour with a nice fizzz; Ok cider.

Nose is sharp and fresh with medium astringency. Sadly only one thing to compare the colour to - I shan’t, but you get the idea. Most ciders do after all. Flavour follows the nose - fresh, astringent, gently sour finish. Refreshing and dry but nothing special.

Bottle, pours a pristine topaz with a fizzy quickly-dissipating head, champagne/apple aroma with some must, clean sweet apple with a crisp dry finish, a bit too sweet/cheap champagne-y for it being billed as a "dry cider"
