COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took our Great American Beer Festival silver medal award winning Saison, added a very special strain of Brettanomyces, and then put it into some gorgeous French oak wine barrels from our friends at Donelan Family Wines in Napa. Then we waited. And then we waited some more. After three seasons and many more samplings we decided these barrels had come of age and it was time to release them into the wild. What we ended up with is a light, dry, and effervescent brew that alternates between layers of oak, jammy red wine, pie cherry, citrus zest, "bretty" sour, and more. Brewing and bottled in Aspen, Colorado-downstream from nobody. Enjoy!

I bought this as part of their gift pack of three bombers, two glasses, coasters and stickers. Then head on a cloudy, light straw colored body. The aroma is lemon, yeast, banana, some other fruits. Very bright. The taste is complex, but still on the lighter side despite the higher ABV. There’s some red wine flavor to it, but I can’t place it. It’s fruity, some lemon. Light body, moderate carbonation. A really great smelling and tasting drink. Get some if you can find it.

Tap. Pours cloudy bright gold with average, frothy white head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is lemon, brett, grassy hops, biscuit and cereal malts, and light orange peel. Flavor is dry, bready malts, grassy and citrus hops (light bitterness), lemon, and brett; crisp, dry finish. Light body and high carbonation.
