This is our highly hopped, high-altitude rendition of the classic India Pale Ale redefined as Independence Pass Ale. Like the high mountain pass, this copiously hopped brew is not to be trifled with. Our IPA marries generous amounts of Columbus, Cascade and Simcoe hops - the floral and citrous flavors are perfectly balanced by our secret malt recipe. Don’t pass this one up!

12 ounce can. Drunk straight from the can at a BBQ in Denver. Some hops in nose. Delightfully hoppy in the initial taste fades into a bit of bitterness as it warms. Good beer but would not seek our to drink again.

Can at home. Pour is hazy orange with a big white head and good lacing. Grapefruits, melon, light biscuit, orange peel, some bread notes, and grass in the aroma. Taste is melon, some orange peel, papaya, biscuit, lemon rind, and grass with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Solid IPA.

[Tap] Light amber color with a rocky white head. Lots of citrus and pine in the aroma. Flavors of resinous hops, orange, light florals, bready malts and pine cones. Lingering hop bitterness trails off quickly. Slick mouthfeel. Hop flavors are astringent at times.

On draft at Denver airport. Pours amber with a white head. Citrus, pine, a little soapy. Not terrible but not great either. Mediocre IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really good. Citrus hop aroma. Light copper color with a foamy head. Medium weight with high carbonation. Felt fresh. Nice citrus with some grapefruit flavors and a slight caramel backbone that finished sharp. Good first impression of the brewery.

Dominant bitterness with lots of pine take over right from the start and does not let anything else through. Not a bad brew by any standards but a little too one-sided.

This was a very solid beer. Nice hoppy flavors with a sweet finish. I really enjoyed this beer, especially after climbing Independence Pass.

Can thanks to northernbrews for sharing. Clear gold pour with a thin ring of head. Aroma is somewhat faint but nice. Pulpy orange juice, grapefruit and light tropical fruit. Tastes like pulpy orange juice but with thinner body. The grapefruit complements it well and there’s a hint of flowers in the finish. Pretty good.
