Had on 8/30/2000. Aroma is a light malt scent. Color is a bright amber brown. Carbonation is good with a good head. Taste is light and crisp. Starting with a light/medium body it goes down with a quenching feel. Finish is a light malt flavor backed by a mild bitterness.

head, head and more head. that’s all this beer had to offer. it’s got a funky aftertaste that i can’t quite put my finger on and a weird spicy malt nose. i’ll pass

Medium brown with little head. Sweet, too sweet, with no hops or anything else. Not offensive, just poorly executed.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2005 Not as bad as I expected. Smells very faintly of toasted malt/ chocolate and some funkier foot aroma. A decent creamy head was nice. I do agree with others in saying it seemed very unbalanced. I didn’t really mind it though. Some bitterness, sweet malt, and very little bit of chocolate flavor.

Light amber body with a head that diminished fast. Tasted watery but that was ok because I had just fished pulling weeds. A good beer that you would have just to wet your whistle. Alot better than tha Aspen Edge.

Bottle poured light amber with a huge foamy white head and thin lacing. Aroma was first of sweet malt but turned into a wet dishrag as it warmed. Very watery bodt with a sweet malty flavor that left a metalic taste on the palate. I bought a sixer of these .you can bet I will be giving a few away.

Bottle: dark orange, ugly shade. Chocolatey nose, some dishrag and burnt rubber aromas. Dry cocoa on the outer edges of my tongue, bitter unbalanced mess.

Sour, plum, bitter nose. Funky burnt rubber. Very unbalanced. Not a good idea.

Pre-bottled Black & Tan’s pale in comparison to the real thing. This is a nice beer, sooth, but is lacking the ’kick’ of a real B&T. Decent beer.
