COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich, round and roasted our oatmeal stout is a glass of pleasure. Itís a bold smooth-bodied concoction that oozes aromas and tastes of dark chocolate. We round out these heady flavors with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy texture and semi-dry finish.

"a little thin for the style, but not too bad. aroma of milk chocolate and day old coffee. not all together a miss but could be better. flavor is good but lacking depth. "

bomber shared. poured a medium brown color with a light brown head. the aroma was a nice blend of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and oats. actually the aroma was the best thing about this beer. the body was thin and the flavor was mostly just roasted malts and chocolate..bakers chocolare or malted milk...ok combination but was expecting more.

This one poured a medium to dark brown with a beige head. Aroma was of roasted malt, chocolate and metal. Flavor was metalic, malted milk ball and roast. Meh.

Bottle share at Hampton Inn pre-DLD party. Pour is dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma and flavor are both of roasted nuts, chocolate, smoke, and peat. Some slight molasses sweetness in the finish. Quite thin for the ABV and style.

Almost black pour. Small off-white head. Little lacing. Malty oat aroma. Slight chocolate. Silky smooth chocolate taste. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap and 22oz bottle - A definite swing and a miss. Chocolate, coffee...kinda acidic too. Ashy and scorched chocolate tasting, some metallic notes along with some wet dirt. Strange beer. Seemed a little off.

Yes it is a little thin to be a stout. With that said I would define this as a brown ale. Does open up as it comes up to room temperature, with a nice feel of a dark chocolate. I would buy this again.

From bomber. Pours dark with a light brown head. Semi-bitter chocolate aroma. One review referred to the taste as "ashy", and that seems to fit. Aftertaste keeps that ashiness going. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This does not have the taste or mouthfeel of a stout. Itís not a bad brown ale, particularly after it warms up a bit. Aroma is mild and acidic with some toasted malt. Taste is similar but with a better more complex combination of toasted chocolate notes. Thin mouth feel much more fitting of an American brown.

Dark brown pour, brown head. Dry and roasty, some astringent notes, bitter cocoa nibs, ashy and not really something I would drink again. Thin and underwhelming.
