COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich, round and roasted our oatmeal stout is a glass of pleasure. It’s a bold smooth-bodied concoction that oozes aromas and tastes of dark chocolate. We round out these heady flavors with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy texture and semi-dry finish.

Poured from bottle. Aroma is coffee, toffee, slight cocoa notes. Mouthful is very light bodied, coffee and other indistinguishable roasted flavors. All in all takes more like a weak coffee porter, oatmeal aspect is nearly non-existent.

Sampled at DLD 2013. It poured dark brown color with a beige head. The aroma was of light roasted malts and sweet chocolate. The taste was of roasted to burnt malts, sweetened coffee and a hint of chocolate. Nice.

And so Slutfest drew to a close for me. Really it closed with me hanging out, eating awesome food and drinking colas for a couple of hours. But this was the end of the beers at least. Black to dark brown. Aroma is dirty chocolate and coffee. Flavor matches, just kind of light chocolate and earthy stuff. Blech.

Bomber shared at Slutfest 4. Pours a clear dark red color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, herbal hops.. The taste is nutty notes, caramel, herbal hops. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a moderate off-white head. Nose is a little bit toasty with some notes of oatmeal in there, but no chocolate. Taste is a bit dry to me, and I can get a hint of cocoa on the back end. Meh.

Nothing to write home about. Seems to have an awfully thin mouthfeel for something as dark as it is. And as I write this I feel compelled to mark aroma and taste down another notch each. Try it, forget about it, move on.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits (Betton) - 22 oz bottle. Pours a dark jet black with an initial frothy khaki colored had that dissipates quickly. Aroma has some very bitter chocolate notes, a hint of creosote. Flavor improves as it warms and presents some cold black coffee, unsweetened bittersweet chocolate, nice roastiness that is really picked up as it warms. Some marshmallow sweetness in the back end adds a bit of contrast. Decently thick mouthfeel.

The aroma is grainy with chocolate milk and a touch of coffee. The appearance is brown with a small head. The taste is like the aroma with a bitter finish. The palate is thin. Overall the chocolate is the only nice thing here.

The beer has a real grainy tasty that is dominate. The beer has a thin palate with a hint of chocolate. Falls flat with hardly any hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle; poured a very dark brown color with a light brown head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, cocoa, earth, and a good dose of oats. Flavor had alot of roasted, leathery, and oaty flavors. Finish is a little weak. Flavor seemed to weaken a bit with each sip.

Pours almost opaque cola into the glass, with the deepest of ruby fringes. The head is large, but fizzes down leaving a light cap and soapy lacing. The nose is vinous and of bitter baking chocolate. The flavors are dry-roasted, with coffee and dark chocolate, finishing with a roasted coffee bean. The mouthfeel is where this loses me. It just feels too fizzy, active, dry and almost thin for a sweet stout. It’s not terrible, just not true to form in the execution.
