Ass Kisser Ale is a state of mind! Just as you contemplate the flavors of this fine ale you can contemplate sharing a bottle with a friend or your boss. Maybe they are one in the same. And then again maybe not! We are just sayin!

Ass Kisser Double IPA is a rich malty ale that has warm carmel notes that open up as it warms up to your glass. It pairs with foods with spice and aromas like Asian 5 Spice or curries. To get maximum aroma and flavor, pour this ale into a snifter style glass. This ale is made to take off the edge of a long day! Made from caring hands that understand what it takes to have to kiss a little to get anywhere these days.

A crystal clear cinnamon colored beer with light carbonation seen. A pillowy off white head slowly collapses in on itself. Nose of grassy and pine hops plus caramel. Flavor is what has become standard for this style and this is pretty much down the middle per style. Big hops and big caramel. Those hops are pine with a bit of pepper. Alcohol is not really tasted. That is a plus but it is still much to high. Despite an unfortunate name this is a pretty good beer that will appeal to many.

22oz Bottle. I saw the bottle and had to try it. Poured a clear dark copper with a small head. Aroma & taste are what I would expect from a DIPA: citrus, pine, fresh fruits, solid malt foundation. Medium body, nice bite in the finish. Overall a good beer - nothing new, but still a solid DIPA.

Ass Kisser. Gotta admit, I bought this one for the name and the bottle, which features a lip imprint on the posterior of what appears to be a donkey. Busting out the snifter for this guy. Pours a hazy tangerine, very orange in color. Light lacing with a small off white head. Fruits and pine dominate the nose, and thereís a nice sweetness underneath the surface, combined with some doughiness. Not really all that bitter, especially for the style, with a syrupy mouthfeel. While the aroma is quite nice, the taste doesnít quite deliver what the aroma promises. Thereís some hop stuff going on, floral, pine, grass, pineapple, orange. But itís not as pronounced as what Iíve had in other examples of this style. Likewise the malt is there as well, particularly in the sweetness, but itís kind of lacking too. The high ABV leaves a lingering burning in the chest. Thereís something quite off in this beer, somewhat medicinal, Iím not sure. Itís hard to put my finger on it but itís unpleasant. Maybe itís the alcohol Iím not sure. Kind of like taking an average IPA and dumping a shot of vodka in it. If you donít like being able to taste the high ABV in your beers Iíd avoid this one. However if you like IPAs and donít mind the ABV itís an okay example of the style.

Bottle shared at a tasting. A very hard beer to rate. Less hoppy than most Double IPAs, but extremely tasty. Pours clear amber with off white head. Nose of malts, malts, and more malts with pineapple, citrus, maple and nuts. Taste is nutty and malty, with hops, citrus, maple and caramel.

Bottle Pours a hazy amber with a good off white head. The head is froathy and lasting. Not much lacing though. Aroma is faint but I get spruce and citrus. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good. Lightly bitter and ends sweet. Alcohol is hidden well. Has a medium body. Good mouthfeel. the texture is on the dry side. A good finish with a nice aftertaste. This is a tasty beer. Good hops and refreshing.

(22oz bottle, courtesy of Exiled) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of grass, caramel, and herbs. Flavor of herbs, some citrus, light pine, grass, earth, and caramel with a dry, bitter finish.

Tan head light, clear bronze copper color, sweet malt aroma, soft slippery mouth feel, soft carbonation, malt flavors, with a bit of hops on the finish, benign for a douple IPA, fairly strong liquor like finish that got stronger as it warmed

Murky brown, thin beige head. Very faint aroma - caramel and citrus, I suppose. Kinda understated flavor - almost too understated. Subtle mix of caramel and pine. Not horrible by any means, but a little bland.

Bomber. Poured translucent coppery-orange with a short-ish off-white head. The aroma picked up warm caramel, honey, and a little fruity sweetness with mild earth and floral hoppage around.. quite mild in the hop department, but still enjoyable. The flavor found honey and molasses sweetness at the core.. mild-to-moderate pine and citrusy bitterness around.. rougher on the finish, picking up a blend of booze and residual, resiny bitterness. Medium-bodied and a bit rough on the palate.. not something Iíd want another of.

22oz bottle picked up at Historic Casanova Liquors in Hudson, WI on my way back from Minneapolis. Pours a mostly clear, copper-gold colored body with a finger-width, creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is robust, sweet caramels and a moderate, fruity hop level. Some toast to the caramels as well. Tropical fruits, citrusy grapefruits, pines, and light florals. The flavor has a good amount of assertive hops, but is rather quick on the palate and somewhat astringent. Piney with some harsher grapefruits and other citrusy fruits. Lots of sweeter caramels with a light toast, but the malts and hops never seem to work off each other. Finishes very dry with a higher, piney bitterness and a few florals with some sweeter caramels before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium, slick body and light, soft carbonation. Overall, not a bad DIPA, but probably not one I would buy again. Lots of rich caramels and piney hops, but not enough teamwork between them. This was alright.
