3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice orangey color, white head. Strong floral aroma and a little bit of veggies/herbs. Taste is much the same, with strong citrus and more of the slight vegetable quality. The hops predominate and stay on the palate. The alcohol is pretty well concealed.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle poured into a wine glass.
Clear amber color with a small white head.
Strong hoppy nose, with bitter citrus, pine and earth.
Caramel malt flavor, marmalade, high bitterness and juicy resiny-fruity hop flavors.
Full bodied, long extremely bitter finish, satisfying and awesome.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good hoppiness. Pours a nice cloudy amber from bomber. Good hop smell, but there is a sense of over ripe eggplant. Resinous, sticky head that remains as a ring.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not a particularly good example of the style. This is much more malty than I would expect from an IPA, much less a double IPA. The roasted malt flavor predominates and there’s really not much hop flavor to compensate. Pours a fairly cloudy, darker brown with mid-sized head. Aromas and flavor are given over to a sweetish, roasted malt, with very little of the expected citrus and piney bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours Cloudy deep amber with a beige head that leaves tons of lacing. Earthy hoppy nose (citrus/pine). Well balanced beer hops and caramel malts mixed together, citrus notes and a nice bitter finish; perhaps a bit tame for a double IPA, but overall a very nice and quite enjoyable beer.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from bomber into snifter. Dirty, cloudy redish orange with little to no head. Alcohol taste right up front and remains the whole time. Underneath that is a citrusy hop with a malty aftertaste. Not bad, but doubt I'll buy again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance was hazy orangish gold with whitish lasting creamy 2 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are citrus fruits, crystal, pale malts, smell very inviting. Taste upfronts are sweet malt backbone, just the right amount. Hops tangerine, orange, lemon, grapefruit then hints of pine with no alcohol present. Palate was soft creamy CO2 with medium body, lasting medinical bite is not a balanced finish. The bottle may have oxygenation, need to try another.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Big tight head over somewhat hazy light copper body. Aroma of spices and chili, some citrus, some malt. Taste of upfront bitterness, black pepper in the beginning, some citrus, some malt but not much sweetness. Palate is bitter and peppery.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy dark yellow / orange color with small rocky cream-colored head. Aroma is hoppy and mostly resinous. Sweeter than expected for a double IPA, hoppy but not palate-shattering. Long bitter finish. This is okay, but nothing special. Not bad if you can get it cheap.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2012 Pours clear orange with a decent size off white head that sticks around due to the amount of carbontation. Citrus and malt aroma. Fair amount of hop bitterness to give this brew the double IPA name. Alcohol level is well hidden from the hops. Excellent balance. Not sure why a company would give there brewery this name...but so be it.
