Ass Kisser Ale is a state of mind! Just as you contemplate the flavors of this fine ale you can contemplate sharing a bottle with a friend or your boss. Maybe they are one in the same. And then again maybe not! We are just sayin!

Ass Kisser Double IPA is a rich malty ale that has warm carmel notes that open up as it warms up to your glass. It pairs with foods with spice and aromas like Asian 5 Spice or curries. To get maximum aroma and flavor, pour this ale into a snifter style glass. This ale is made to take off the edge of a long day! Made from caring hands that understand what it takes to have to kiss a little to get anywhere these days.

thanks Dave, ibrew2or3 for the share. copper pour, off-white head. aroma, citrus, piney hops, with a strong caramel malt nose. flavors, caramel malts, an strong emphasis on the caramel malts and spiced hops tend to dominate the whole experience, hindering some of the hop characteristics.

Pours copper with a thin off white head. Smells of melon, grapefruit, resiny. Tastes of resin, peppery, caramel, spicy with a slightly astringent finish. Not as hop forward as I’d expect out of a IIPA.

Bottle at Papsø. Pours hazy amber with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet fruity, bready with notes of sweet fruity hops. The flavour is bread, sweet malt, caramel, fruity hops and toasted malt. Almost barley wine like.

355 ml bottle. (State Line Liquors) Elkton, MD.
Hazy amber colour with a small white head. Sugary and toffee sweet malty aroma with some notes of alcohol and hops. The flavour is very sweet sugary malty with some resiny hops and moderate bitterness. Thinnish. Not very tasty DIPA.

Bottle:   Caramel in color, cloudy, very thick now that I am at the end of the bottle, large rocky off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Somewhat of a dull candied citrus peel aroma, a little dank and musty, some wet dog.   A malty start, semi-sweet without much bitterness.   A slight metallic tinge comes out from this one.   Certainly a malty example of a Double IPA, but its not very bright or juicy.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Finishes a little mealy, a bit sweet, dull candied citrus peel, stale hops, and wet cardboard.   Not bad, but not that great either.   Thanks Diego!

Bottle from BevMo Arden. Pours dark golden with a generous beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a decent nutty caramel malt flavor with a dry bitter finish. Not bad.

9/12/10. Thanks, Cavie! Bomber. Dark orange pour with a thick off-white head that laces a ton. Huge aromas of pine and grapefruit. Sweet caramelly flavor with a bit of citrus hops and a huge bitter kick. A dash of alcohol, though, and the hop profile could have been more complex.

In short: Lots of caramel and a mild fruity resinous hopping. A bland American Strong Ale.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh the day of purchase. Split with a few friends around a campfire
The look: Cloudy golden body topped by a very small off-white head
In long: Nose of caramel and a bit of fruity hops. Taste is very basic. White bread, caramel, fruit juice, oily notes, a bit of hops resin. Mild bitterness. An IIPA with such a low score should be a mess but honestly the beer is not offensive. The beer is just very bland and certainly mislabelled as a IIPA. NOT A HOP BOMB. Really not. Ass Kissser. For some people the choice are simple. Be an ass kisser at work or still wear a name tag when they are 35.

22 oz. bottle from Randall’s. Pours a cloudy orange-amber color with a small off-white head that leaves some uneven lacing in the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, pine resin, citrus fruits, wet hops, pineapple, and earth. Flavor of grapefruit citrus, pine resin, wet hops, pineapple, earth, sugar, sweet bready and caramel malts, and a little alcohol on the finish. Medium-bodied, with a resinous mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not a bad double IPA, simple, citrusy, and bitter.
