Semi clear black with a foamy thick persistent light tan head, leaves lots of lace. Smells like smoke from some kind of delicious wood, maybe hickory or mesquite...not sure...as well as a dose of dark bakers cocoa and a touch of char. The mouthfeel is really nice, being smooth with velvety smooth fine carbonation. Taste is smokey with some overroasted black malt and a bit of chocolate malt. The body isn’t too heavy, but the flavor is full on. Its sweet with some dark caramel tones with some burnt toffee/chocolatiness, but is also bitter with smokey tones. Balanced, but just not finding its place with me.

Picked up at Champagne Cellars in December. Pretty good smoked porter. very good drinkability. Black with small retained head. Pleasant smokiness. Medium mouthfeel.

22oz bottle thanks to cavie. Deep brown brew with some off-white head. Aromas of smoke, roasted malt, and a bit of coffee. Flavors molasses, smoke, and roast. Slight sweetness.

Had this beer while installing a new kitchen faucet - so it gets points for helping me through it. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, smoke, and maybe some coffee. Nice flavor, smoke stands out and it quite enjoyable. Little dry and touch bitter. Well done.

The appearance is an almost black color with a carbonated white head. The aroma contains hints of smoke, chocolate, coffee, mocha, and vanilla extract. The flavor is somewhat bitter and dry with more smoke in the flavor than the aroma. It also contains some hints of dark chocolate and licorice. The finish is quite bitter and dry. Overall a fairly nice porter especially for those who aren’t into sweeter porters.

bottle thanks to dyetube. pitch black pour with a cream head. nose is bbq, liquid smoke, dried meat, and light roasted malts. easy on the palate, heavy bbq, smokey, beefy, delicious.

Bottle. Poured a black color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt, coffee, small smoke and mocha aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate vanilla sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex brew.

Pours clear brown color with tan head. Roasted malt aroma with moderate smokiness and some chocolate. Moderate smoke and roasted malt flavors with a hint of chocolate. Medium body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Better than I was expecting.

22oz bottle thanks to Mar) Pour is dark black, no head...Nose is smoked meats, wood, smoke, chocolate and coffee malts...Taste is Smoked meats and bacon, Smoke, wet wood, chocolate...Palate is light and silky...It was a bit to light for me, Thicken it up and it would have been perfect..So good it makes you wanna slap yo Mama

Bomber. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Smoke present in the aroma with a bit of chocolate and some off vegetal notes. Flavor is present, with a bacon like smokiness, on top of the coffee like drinking breakfast. Not the best example I’ve had but had some redeeming qualities.
