From the bottle. pours dark with an off white head, nice lacing. Aroma is smokey and malty, very earthy, Taste is not overpowering. Smooth, oak chips, malts, earthy. Not bad.

I like a smoky malty porter. I really liked this porter. A sweet after taste, mild bitterness without being hoppy. Recommended.

Pour from a 22 oz bottle.Dark brew with small tan head. Lighter aroma of coffee, burnt grains. Taste is sweet malts, roasted malts, hints of coffee and chocolate, a little ash. Finishes with a llttle ash, smoke, and bitter, though the final aftertaste is sweet and burnt. Nice palate and mouthfeel.
