From the bottle. pours dark with an off white head, nice lacing. Aroma is smokey and malty, very earthy, Taste is not overpowering. Smooth, oak chips, malts, earthy. Not bad.

I like a smoky malty porter. I really liked this porter. A sweet after taste, mild bitterness without being hoppy. Recommended.

Pour from a 22 oz bottle.Dark brew with small tan head. Lighter aroma of coffee, burnt grains. Taste is sweet malts, roasted malts, hints of coffee and chocolate, a little ash. Finishes with a llttle ash, smoke, and bitter, though the final aftertaste is sweet and burnt. Nice palate and mouthfeel.

Aroma is like a campfire with very bitter coffee notes.

Black in color with a decent sized tan head. Aroma is of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and a hint of smoke. Taste is of roasted malts, light leather and smoke, and chocolate.

Deep brown, not much head. Aroma is quite chocolatey, as is the flavor, which also has a bit of somkeyness. Pretty good.

Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, smoke, smoked meat, roasting, smoked wood, and slight tar. Medium body. Slick, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, smoke, roast, finish is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. 8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.
