Bomber from State Line. Pours deep brown with ruby through light and off-khaki head. Nose is great smoked malt, cacao. Tastes rich, extremely rauchy, dark malty, with notes of cacao, coffee, peppery oil, and a smooth finish. This one is great.

Another shared bottle thanks to ScottyP. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of smoke and chocolate. Taste is nice and smoky with some burnt malt and coffee with sweet milk chocolate flavor to balance well.

tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - JUL 5, 2011
Bomber. Pours a very very dark amber with sturdy beige head. The aroma is a very sweet type of smoke, with some chocolate and beef notes. The flavor is more porter than smoke (but I have a pretty high threshold for smoke). Bitter chocolate, some raisin, some woody notes. The beefy smoke notes come mostly toward the finish, as the aroma wafts backwards into my sinuses. Leaves a dry bitter chocolate aftertaste. Not bad.

BMan1113VR (7377) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 23, 2011
Bottle. Pours with a deep brown, near black body with a medium sized, light brown head (creamy, tight bubble grouping). Some lacing and decent retention. Aromas of smoke, bacon, bbq. Nearly a light plasticy phenol as well. Tar, asphalt, chocolate, mocha, dirt, earth, coffee. A hint of a slightly sweet malt note, a touch of vanilla as well. A hint of a fruity ester, minimal hop notes. Flavors of dirt, earth, lightly metallic, smoke. Tastes a bit soil like and a hint of vegital (nearly a DMS like cooked corn). Some chocolate notes. Coffee beans. Finishes decently dry. Medium to low bitterness with a neutral balance. Lingering smoke. Creamy and a bit warming. Medium carbonation with a somewhat full body. No astringency. Far more successful than their first beer.
